Have you always understood a gospel call to turn from sin and put faith in Jesus as a necessary element in evangelism? Explain.
When you became a Christian how was the necessary response to the gospel explained to you? How did you come to understand that you needed to repent and believe? Explain.
What do you think are the most common ways we replace the call to turn from sin and put personal trust in Jesus with something else? (i.e. ‘pray this prayer along with me,’ or walking the aisle)
Do you think you are more inclined to neglect issuing a gospel call in your evangelism or to neglect sharing important gospel content? Why?
Who in your life do you feel like you are responsible to share the gospel content with and issue the gospel call to? What have you shared with them so far? How can your church/small group support you in your evangelism?
How does the gospel content of Jesus’ righteous life, death for your sins, resurrection for justification, and promised return when he will glorify you free you in your evangelism? Why do you need this gospel for your own soul as you evangelize?
