1. Read 1 Corinthians 7:25-40. What do you think is the main point of this passage?

2. Consider v. 31, “For the present form of this world is passing away.” Is it easy or difficult for you to embrace the temporary nature of this world, as it is? What are the challenges of embracing the temporality of this world in light of the next?

3. Consider vv. 29-31. How are Christians to live differently than unbelievers in regard to our dealings with the world? Explain. How does living this way serve as a witness to our faith in the reality of the resurrection?

4. Consider vv. 32-38. What do people in the world often consider when deciding whether to get married or to stay single? What should Christians consider when deciding whether to get married or to stay single, or when considering who to marry?

5. Consider v. 35. What challenges our devotion to Christ? How can we put our devotion to Christ on the forefront of our lives in all of life?
